As the article states, technology is changing so rapidly it is too difficult to predict how education may change over the course of a decade. Cultural trends will help shape the future of education in such areas as:
*Mobile devices
*eLearning
*Real-time distance education
*Social Media
...and the list goes on. One thing seems to be certain, for the first time ever, educators must prepare students for a future that no one can predict (as stated by David Warlick at a Literacy and Learning in the 21st Century Conference, November 2, 2010).

Hi Carol,
I tried to find your contact information, but couldnt so I thought I would leave a comment instead. I really enjoy your blog and I was wondering if you accept guest writers?
I always find it interesting to read posts like this. I agree that technology on its own does change our schools (and I think in very positive ways), but I would LOVE to see more posts on how these tools impact on student learning. It's really hard to find material that shows the impact of technology on student achievement. Have you found anything? I would be very interested in reading any information that is out there.
